Sun Moon Sect. is known for its wonderful, fun-filled games. Many of our events are original Sun Moon creation or adaptions of real life board games.

You will find a list here of the games that are currently used in the Event schedule rotation.

Please be respectful to event hosts, as they are taking time out of their own schedule to bring you entertainment, merriment, wealth, and an all around good time. Also please respect prizes awarded, as they are items donated by other clan members, and the more you donate, the better prizes will be.

-Amber Battleship-

Amber Battleship is one of the oldest and popular event in SunMoon Sect today. It is a variation of Battleship, an in real life board game by Milton Bradley. 
The game is simple. Five dark amber are hidden in a 5x5 (traditionally; but 6x6 or other dimensions can also be used) board of Ambers. The board looks like this:

Two teams are made. The two teams stand away from the board (standing on the board can result in warnings for it is cheating ) and a captain is made on each side as sort of a team spokesperson. Both teams should GROUP chat each other. 
Each team takes turns giving out coordinates. The first team to successfully uncover all five dark ambers wins.                                                                     

 

-Jail Cell Trivia-

* NOTE: A Sun Moon Key is required to host this event * 
Jail Cell Trivia is also an event with ancient roots in Sun Moon. This is the only Sun Moon event to actually utilize the prize doors located above the SM hole. Due to recent renovations in the Sun Moon hole many changes had to be made to this event. However, the rules are the same.
Prizes are laid out behind the doors and covered by gold blocks so that when the host walks back out people cannot see what they are. 
Hosts then ask players a question who in turn whisper the answers, or supposed answers to questions. The one who answers correctly first gets to choose any door. The host will then open the chosen door and uncover the prize which is then awarded to the contestant. 
Jail Cell Trivia is played until all prizes for that day's Jail Cell Trivia are won by contestants.

-Kill The Chief-

'Kill the Chief' is a game that involves skill with the bow and arrow - but also has a high paranoia factor in it as well. 
Players will begin the game by lining up on yellow scrolls or kindred talismans. The event host will then explain the game to the crowd of players. 
The host will divide the crowd into two teams of two colors of his/her choosing. The host will then "arm" three members of each team. By "arm" I mean - distribute three bows and three sheaths to three members of each team. 
The host will then ask you to remove all helms, rings and will distribute peasant armor - robes for the guys, gowns for the girls. All players must wear said attire for the entire duration of the event, or will be subject to warnings or ejection from the event. 
The host will finally secretly select a "chief" from each team. When the player that was secretly selected as the chief (only the host knows who the chiefs are) gets dyed during the round, the round is over and the dyed chief's team loses. The hosts should therefore make sure to pay special attention to the chiefs in each event, so as to determine which chief was dyed first. 
As you can see, it is chaos and fun running around trying not to get dyed. After all, what if you're the chief? 
Kill the Chief is played in a total of 3 rounds.

-Toss Across-

Yellow Scrolls are placed in a checkerboard pattern on each side of the playing field (4 rows on each). Space them so when tossing an object from the front row of one side, you are able to make it land on the back row of the other (7 spaces).

The participants are split into 2 teams. Each team member is given 10 limestone or obsidian, depending on their side.

When the host shouts GO!, each team 'tosses' their obsidian/limestone 'across' to the other team's side, each trying to cover the scrolls of their opponents within the allotted. The host will count off 30 seconds, then shout STOP! The team that has covered more of their opponent's scrolls, wins the match, or round. The number of rounds is up to the host.

Rules:

No attacking another player, other than possibly beaning them with a rock.

No using any spells/abilities/morph items. Especially invisibility.

No camping. Must continually move.

No picking up the other team's stones.

Participants must stay in their rectangular area.

I. LAYOUT
"Survivor" trivia takes place in the Sun Moon hole. The layout looks something like this: (with yin yang doors open)

II. "The Chain"
The game begins by all participants standing on the back line of yellow scrolls (with the yin yang doors open). The host then faces the audience and asks a series of questions to determine a "Team Captain". This is to choose the 8 players of the game. The captain will select one player who stands on one of the yellow scroll line. Then that player will continue by choosing someone else in the audience, and so on, until there are two rows of five players each facing each other. The remaining audience will have to watch, because they did not make it in the game. This part of the game can be known as "The Chain", because each person takes a turn in selecting someone else. If there are less than 10 players, then everyone plays by default. 
III. Basic Play 
The host will then face individual players one at a time one after another and ask them each a question, which they say out loud. If the player answers correctly, they have a chance of using their immunity or their terminator. (See section IV - Terminator and Immunity) Each player only has one immunity and one terminator. After the host asks every player a question, and every player answers, he reminds the players who opted to use their immunity that round and who cannot be voted off. IF a player decided to challenge someone else to a terminator, then the terminator will take the place of the voting. 
a. Voting 
The host will WALK on the yellow scroll line and face each player. That player that is being faced by the host will then whisper the host the name of the player they want voted off. This process continues until every player has been faced and every player has voted. 
** Going AFK Penalty rules: If a player goes AFK and does not answer in enough time to a question, then they will automatically get the question incorrect, and will not have the ability that round to use immunity or terminator. If the player goes afk during voting, their vote will instead be used as a vote for them. If a player is afk while being challenged to a terminator, then that player will automatically be terminated. ** 

Once all the votes are in, the host should have a piece of paper with a pen and pencil that tally all the votes to keep track. Then the host, to create suspense, will read outloud the votes in random order. For example "First vote.. Potan. Next vote.. Xuir. " etc. Or such comments as "3 votes Potan.. 4 votes Xuir." - "The 8th and final vote.. Xuir." 
The player then must leave. 
IV. Terminator and Immunity 
A. Terminator
If a player gets his/her question correctly, and decides to use a terminator, then that player can challenge any contestant still in the game to a "trivia dual" so to speak. They will stand facing each other on the kindred talismans. The host will then ask the two a question. The one who answers first quickly and correctly wins (through whisper) The other then is eliminated from the game. I'd like to re-visit the fact that terminator rounds, when used, replace the voting off. At any time, the host should use different methods to create suspense and pressure. ;p
B. Immunity
The player can not be voted off, or terminated that round.

V. Final round 
When there are two left, this is known as the "Final round." (cont.)

When there are two left, this is known as the "Final round." The people standing on the scrolls behind the yin yang doors then get to vote, using the same face and whisper method, for the winner. 
VI. Tie breakers 
In any event of a tie, the host should look at his paper he has kept and look at previous votes casted. If THAT is a tie, then the host should hold a terminator round.

 

 

 

 

 

-Paintball-

Come in spring clothing, undyed. When the host says GO--shoot arrows to dye ("kill") your opponents. Last person/team undyed, wins.

This can be played one of two ways:
Free-for-all--one winner--last one undyed.
Regular--team winners--last team with undyed member(s).

RULES
-------
DO NOT shoot arrows before round starts. Use them sparingly.
DO NOT shoot arrows after you are "dead".
DO NOT use -ANY- spells/abilities before or during the event.
DO NOT leave the area of play.
DO NOT use hand/helm/shield items.
Please return remaining sheaths and bows to host when event is done

-Word Search-

Unlike other Sun Moon events, Word Search is hosted on the Sun Moon board, and is completed individually with 'pen and paper' so to speak by each clannie. 
Word Searches for those who are unfamiliar with them are a series of letters in which words are hidden either diagonally, backwards, horizontally or vertically. The host will post each word search with a set "topic" in which players will try and uncover hidden words. 
All the words in the word search fall under the category, or topic, that AngelEyes sets. 
The list of all the words you find in the word search should be sent to the host, who will the next day score all submissions and award prizes based on the order in   which correct submissions, or the "most correct" were received
.

~High Stakes Trivia~

Traditionally, High Stakes Trivia is hosted in SM Hole, however it can be hosted anywhere. 
Players line up from left to right. They answer questions given by the event host by whispering the event host the answer. The first to successfully answer the question gets a gold bar dropped in front of them. The gold bar's value is 1000c+, usually 1 or 2k. The gold dropped in front of all the players becomes the prize, ultimately. 
The first to answer six questions correctly wins all the money laid out.
